Suggested final pH

5.0–6.0Provisional target

Suggested development target for this recipe. Measure the finished batch; this target is not a tested shelf-life specification.

These are starting targets for formula development, not measured batch results or validated stability specifications.

Check the finished mixture

Measure after all ingredients, preservative and final water have been incorporated and the HA is fully hydrated. Use a calibrated pH meter suitable for the serum or cream, at room temperature.

If adjustment is needed, use a formula-compatible diluted pH adjuster in small, measured additions; mix and remeasure. Recheck after 24 hours at the same temperature. There is no fixed number of drops that works for every batch.

The target must fit every ingredient and the preservative. Reaching it does not establish safety or shelf life.

Confirm the target and adjuster compatibility before following the guide.

Before preparing this formula

  • Source: KING DIY LAB 3D HA Master Handbook, 100 g Basic 3D HA Base. This is a development starting formula.
  • The final 100 g includes every ingredient. Water is 95 g minus the preservative and any other additions; do not add 100 g of water.
  • This reference does not establish a tested shelf life. Refrigeration does not replace preservation.

Preparation outline

  1. STEP 01

Clean and sanitize equipment, containers, work surface and filling tools.

  2. STEP 02

Weigh 85–90 g of distilled or deionized water into the main vessel, reserving the rest for the final weight adjustment.

  3. STEP 03

In a separate vessel, weigh 4 g glycerin. Gradually sprinkle in 1 g 3D HA powder and mix until every particle is wetted, with no dry pockets.

  4. STEP 04

Slowly add this mixture to the water while stirring gently.

  5. STEP 05

Cover and allow complete hydration. Several hours may be needed; the handbook suggests overnight hydration.

  6. STEP 06

Incorporate the selected preservative at the stage and conditions required by its ingredient specification.

  7. STEP 07

Add the remaining water until the total batch weighs exactly 100 g. Mix gently and measure the final pH against the full formula’s ingredient specifications.

  8. STEP 08

Allow bubbles to dissipate, then fill suitable clean containers and label the batch.

Use & storage

Topical cosmetic reference only. Keep away from eyes and broken skin. Not for injection, microneedling or lash application.

Confirm preservation, final pH, stability and shelf life for the complete formula. Refrigeration and patch testing do not replace formula safety assessment.
